Assistant Distillery Manager

A dynamic opportunity has emerged for a highly skilled Assistant Distillery Manager to oversee distilling operations at Nine Twenty.

This role serves as the deputy to the Distillery Manager, ensuring all critical management and compliance tasks are completed in their absence.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Supervise distillery operations to guarantee adherence to strict quality standards and process parameters.
  2. Maintain safe systems of work, cleanliness, and hygiene across the site.
  3. Foster collaboration with internal and external visitors, regulatory bodies, and prepare permits to work.
  4. Review and develop health and safety documentation, including risk assessments and SOPs.
  5. Promote site security in line with Excise standards.
  6. Analyze reports, maintain distillery records, and submit monthly HMRC submissions.
  7. Manage employee absence and staff cover.
  8. Drive continuous improvement initiatives across teams.
  9. Monitor losses, energy, and water usage, investigating and reporting on findings.
  10. Identify maintenance requirements across the site.
Requirements:
  • Proficiency in Excel is preferred.
  • SAP and DRAMS experience is beneficial.
  • Experience working with risk assessments, safe working practices, and H&S legislation is essential.
  • Compliance experience, including HMRC, HACCP, and internal auditing, is crucial.
  • Strong continuous improvement experience is required.
  • Provide technical advice and control over distillery processes.
Estimated Salary: £60,000 per annum
