About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Support Worker to join our team at St Christopher's Fellowship. As a Support Worker, you will play a vital role in supporting young people aged 16-24 to achieve their goals and aspirations.

Our residential home provides a safe and supportive environment for young people to live and thrive. As a Support Worker, you will work closely with our team to provide individualized support and care to each young person, helping them to develop the skills and confidence they need to succeed in life.

You will be responsible for assisting young people with daily tasks, providing emotional support and guidance, and helping them to access education, training, and employment opportunities.

We are looking for someone who is passionate about working with young people, has a strong understanding of safeguarding, and is able to work effectively as part of a team.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist young people with daily tasks and activities
  • Provide emotional support and guidance to young people
  • Help young people to access education, training, and employment opportunities
  • Work closely with the team to provide individualized support and care to each young person
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of care plans for each young person
Requirements
  • At least one year's experience of working with young people in a residential or semi-independent setting
  • Experience of working with young people with complex needs, such as neurodiversity, sexual exploitation, and criminal exploitation
  • Clear understanding of safeguarding regulations and procedures
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
