Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced and highly motivated Practice Manager to join our team. The successful candidate will have excellent communication and leadership skills, with experience in HR, Finance, and day-to-day operational management.



Main Responsibilities:

  1. Ensure the practice complies with all relevant NHS, information governance, CQC, and health-related requirements.
  2. Recommend improvements to our administrative systems and processes to increase efficiency.
  3. Train staff to cover all administrative functions and patient queries, ensuring a multi-skilled and flexible team.
  4. Communicate effectively with staff, motivating and managing them on a daily basis.
  5. Handle patient communications, including complaints, website updates, online patient access, and newsletters.
  6. Support practice management with new projects and developments, as well as practice administration.
  7. Maximise patient healthcare to achieve optimal QOF achievement.
  8. Develop processes to aid recruitment and HR functions.
  9. Maintain up-to-date policies and practice administration, such as minutes, practice policies, Team Net, and HR requirements.
  10. Organise staff rotas and coordinate holiday requests to ensure adequate cover.
  11. Ensure a clean, tidy, and well-organised work environment, prioritising health and safety.
  12. Collaborate closely with the Partners and Management team to provide support as needed.


Person Specification:

  • Experience in a management role in General Practice, with excellent communication and leadership skills.
  • Good IT skills, experience working in EMIS Wen, and knowledge of QOF, Arden, and LCS.
  • Desirable: experience overseeing CQC inspections and working with Primary Care Networks.


Salary:

£50,000 - £60,000 per annum, depending on experience.
