We are seeking an experienced Statutory SEN Caseworker to join our team at Austin Fraser. This role involves extensive liaison with families, education settings, and professionals to coordinate and manage Education Health and Care (EHC) plans for children and young people with complex needs.

The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of the Children's Act 2014, SEND Code of Practice 0-25, and educational opportunities for young people with SEN. They will also possess excellent communication skills, ability to adapt their approach to meet diverse needs, and a commitment to supporting positive life outcomes.

Key responsibilities include conducting EHC needs assessments, managing EHC plans, liaising with families and professionals, and ensuring plans are regularly reviewed and updated. The successful candidate will work closely with families, multi-disciplinary professionals, and support over 4,000 young people from 0 to 25 years.

About the Role:

  • Conduct and coordinate EHC needs assessments and manage EHC plans
  • Liaise and build positive relationships with families, educational institutions, and professionals
  • Support families in understanding and accessing services to best meet their child's needs
