About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Financial Crime Compliance Officer to join our team as a Deputy Money Laundering Reporting Officer (MLRO). This role will support the MLRO in ensuring that ABN AMRO's Clearing business operates in accordance with all legal and regulatory requirements related to financial crime compliance.

The successful candidate will have 8+ years of experience in AML, Sanctions, and wider financial crime, preferably with some knowledge of Anti-Bribery and Corruption, Facilitation of Tax Evasion, and Fraud. They will be able to undertake AML, Sanctions, and financial crime assessments, opine on risks, and produce written recommendations to the MLRO and the business.

As a key member of our Compliance team, you will work closely with other AML and Financial Crime colleagues to foster good working relations with the business and support functions in the UK. You will also promote a financial crime compliance culture and support the MLRO in delivering consistent guidance, advice, and innovative solutions in all matters relating to AML and Financial Crime.

About the Team

The Clearing Compliance UK function centres on second-line compliance risk management, including Financial Crime Risks. Its mission is to assist senior management in identifying, assessing, and effectively managing the compliance risks of ABN AMRO's Clearing.

The Department is responsible for all AACB LB & AACL compliance matters, excluding prudential rules compliance: advice, policy, training, regulatory developments, and monitoring regarding financial service laws, rules, regulations & codes of conduct, data privacy, and combatting financial crime.
