Position Overview:

We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Data Governance Analyst to join our Asset Servicing Data Governance Team. In this role, you will assist in developing and implementing data governance frameworks, ensuring our data assets are accurate, secure, and compliant with industry standards. You will work closely with regional Data Governance Leads and cross-functional teams to support data governance initiatives, help establish data management best practices, and contribute to the creation of data policies and procedures.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop tools and processes used to maintain a common data standard across the Northern Trust Asset Servicing domain. • Assess, manage, and maintain strategies that reduce data redundancy and increase the consistency/confidence of data used for decision making. • Define and deliver data management standards, processes, controls, and content for the creation and maintenance of common data dictionaries. • Participate in periodic reviews to ensure continued compliance with the data governance policies (includes audits, compliance assessments, monitoring, and control testing). • Resolve conflicting priorities among data owners, data consumers, and custodians within the sphere of the domain. • Collaborate with partners across the organization in maintaining the data governance and data quality structures ensuring we are meeting business needs while balancing quality, risk, and cost. • Prior knowledge of the Financial Service sector and understanding how different business lines work together. • Knowledge of Data Governance, Data Quality, and Enterprise Data Management concepts/products is a plus. • Demonstrated ability to understand and effectively communicate the role of Data Governance to both business and technical communities within the sphere of the data domain. • Highly flexible and adaptable to change.
