Job Summary

University Hospital Southampton NHS Trust is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Principal Clinical Scientist to join our Nuclear Medicine team. As a Medical Physics Expert, you will play a crucial role in the development and delivery of our Diagnostic Imaging services.

Key Responsibilities
  • Support and develop our Diagnostic Nuclear Medicine and PET services
  • Contribute to the growth of our Radionuclide Therapy service
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to deliver high-quality patient care
  • Develop and implement imaging protocols to improve diagnostic accuracy
  • Provide complex scientific advice to support clinical decision-making
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and industry standards
Requirements
  • State Registered Clinical Scientist
  • Certified Medical Physics Expert (MPE) in Nuclear Medicine
  • Experience in diagnostic Nuclear Medicine and PET applications
  • Knowledge of radiation protection and safety protocols
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize tasks effectively
