About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Principal Clinical Scientist to join our Nuclear Medicine Physics team at University Hospital Southampton NHS Trust. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for supporting and developing our Diagnostic Nuclear Medicine and PET services, as well as our expanding Radionuclide Therapy service.

Key Responsibilities
  • Support and develop Diagnostic Nuclear Medicine and PET services
  • Contribute to the growth of our Radionuclide Therapy service
  • Work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams to deliver high-quality patient care
  • Develop and implement imaging protocols and procedures
  • Provide complex scientific advice and support to clinical staff
  • Contribute to research and development projects in Nuclear Medicine
Requirements
  • State Registered Clinical Scientist
  • HCPC Registered Clinical Scientist
  • RPA2000 Certified Medical Physics Expert (MPE) in Nuclear Medicine
  • Experience in Diagnostic Nuclear Medicine and PET applications
  • Experience in Radionuclide Therapy and Dosimetry
  • Practical experience in Radiation Protection related to NM and PET
  • Experience in QA for SPECT, PET, radionuclide calibrators, intraoperative probes, and gamma counters
