We are looking for an experienced and passionate Senior Social Work Manager to lead a team of Social Workers within our Children's Services department. This role is responsible for the management of both Early Help and Safeguarding Hub (EHASH) and EDT. As a Senior Social Work Manager, you will be responsible for the supervision of a team of social workers, oversight of incoming children's contacts and decision making. You will also have management oversight of the screening of worries and support requests for children and young people. As part of this role, you will chair strategy meetings for children who may have suffered or are at risk of suffering significant harm.

The Senior Social Work Manager will be responsible for the timely allocation of children for support to the wider early help and children's safeguarding service. The role will manage a team of Social Workers within a social care service and a wider Children, Young People and Families Directorate. The key purpose of this role is to ensure high quality social work practice which achieves the best possible outcomes for children and young people in need of support.

The ideal candidate will have experience of managing a team of social workers and will have a strong understanding of the principles of child protection and safeguarding. You will be required to work closely with other teams and services to ensure that children and young people receive the best possible support.

Key Responsibilities:
