We are recruiting for a Care and Support Specialist with a range of different skills and experience to join our community team in Whitstable.

This is an exciting opportunity to work with adults with a range of care and support needs, placing individuals at the centre of their support.

The successful candidate will undertake initial enquiries, build relationships with people, their carers and wider partners, and support the management of crisis intervention, undertaking Care Act assessments and Mental Capacity Act assessments.

Our social care interventions are structured around excellent practice, exceptional innovation, and meaningful measures.

The role requires strong financial skills and knowledge, good computer literacy, and report writing skills. Additionally, the ability to work in partnership with people and our wider partners to identify services or resources in the community that can support well-being is essential.

The salary for this role is estimated to be £25,000 - £35,000 per annum, depending on experience.

About You:
  • You will have experience of working with people with social care needs and of undertaking initial assessments.
  • You will have a willingness to undertake an NVQ in Care Level 2 and 3 alongside Mathematics and English.
  • Knowledge of relevant Social Care legislation is also required.
