Job Description

The ideal candidate will have a degree in civil engineering or a related field and be Chartered Engineer registered with the Engineering Council or actively working towards chartership. Prior knowledge of seismic engineering, particularly in the design and substantiation of heavy civil engineering structures, is essential. The successful candidate will assist the Client Discipline Lead in delivering structural engineering work packages for Defence clients and manage technical deliverables to ensure alignment with planned deliverables.

  • Prepare and check civil and seismic designs, analyses, reports, drawings, specifications, and other documents.
  • Participate in developing technical solutions to deficiencies and creating new designs to meet project needs.
  • Support the review of new designs, construction methodologies, and temporary works, ensuring they meet required technical standards.
  • Supervise and provide guidance to junior staff, helping to develop their skills and knowledge in civil engineering.
  • Ensure all development, construction, installation, commissioning, and maintenance work complies with design intents and relevant Local and National Regulations.
  • Support on-site inspections of assets to verify their construction, maintenance, and modifications are in line with project requirements.
