Job Summary

The Paediatric Diabetes Service at The Diabetes Times is seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Paediatric Diabetes Nurse Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our multidisciplinary team, you will be responsible for delivering specialist clinical diabetes services to children and young people with diabetes and their families.

Main Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement effective care plans to meet the individual needs of children and young people with diabetes.
  • Collaborate with Consultant Paediatricians, Dieticians, and psychology services to ensure comprehensive care.
  • Provide expert advice and support to parents, children, and young people with diabetes regarding insulin pump therapy.
  • Manage and coordinate the day-to-day activities of the Diabetes Team caseload.
  • Identify and mitigate risks to patients and staff.
  • Lead and develop the skills of colleagues through education, training, and mentoring.
  • Contribute to the development of quality initiatives and ensure the delivery of high-quality nursing care.
