The Paediatric Diabetes Service at The Diabetes Times is seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Paediatric Diabetes Nurse Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our multidisciplinary team, you will be responsible for delivering specialist clinical diabetes services to children and young people with diabetes and their families.
Main Responsibilities- Develop and implement effective care plans to meet the individual needs of children and young people with diabetes.
- Collaborate with Consultant Paediatricians, Dieticians, and psychology services to ensure comprehensive care.
- Provide expert advice and support to parents, children, and young people with diabetes regarding insulin pump therapy.
- Manage and coordinate the day-to-day activities of the Diabetes Team caseload.
- Identify and mitigate risks to patients and staff.
- Lead and develop the skills of colleagues through education, training, and mentoring.
- Contribute to the development of quality initiatives and ensure the delivery of high-quality nursing care.
