About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Structural Engineer to join our team at Hays Specialist Recruitment Limited. As a Senior Structural Engineer, you will be responsible for leading and managing structural engineering projects, ensuring compliance with industry standards, project requirements, and client requirements.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct structural analyses and calculations to design safe and efficient structures.
  • Oversee the preparation of detailed design drawings, specifications, and reports.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams and clients to deliver projects within established timelines and budgets.
  • Provide technical expertise and mentorship to junior engineers and team members.
  • Participate in project meetings and liaise with stakeholders.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Civil/Structural Engineering or a related field.
  • Master's degree is a plus.
  • Chartered Engineer status or actively working towards chartered status.
  • Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience in structural engineering.
  • Proficient in structural design software (e.g., Tekla Structural Designer, Tedds, Robot, Masterseries Retaining Wall Suite, etc.).
  • Strong knowledge of relevant design codes and standards (e.g., Eurocodes, British Standards).
