Group Leader

At Preston Scouts, we are seeking a dedicated and passionate individual to lead our Beaver/Cub Section as a Section Leader. This is a fantastic opportunity to make a real difference in the lives of young people and be part of a dynamic team.
Main Responsibilities- Programme Delivery: Develop and deliver a safe, exciting, and stimulating programme for the Section, taking into account the needs, interests, and abilities of the young people.
- Section Operations: Work with the Group Scout Leader, Group Executive Committee, and others to support recruiting and inducting Assistant Leaders and Section Assistants.
- Communication: Maintain good relationships with parents/carers of the young people, including running a parent rota and inviting parents to support camps or other residential experiences.
- Leadership: Agree responsibilities with Assistant Section Leaders, Section Assistants, and parent helpers, taking into account the development of the individual's leadership potential.
Requirements: Must successfully complete the appointment process, including acceptable personal enquiries and acceptance of The Scout Association's policies. A Wood Badge must be completed within three years of Full Appointment, and ongoing safeguarding and safety training is essential.
