Job Description:

We are seeking a highly experienced and innovative medical professional to join our team as a Global Medical Director. This role offers a unique opportunity to shape the understanding of our medicines and vaccines, facilitating their impact on patient health outcomes globally.

In this position, you will develop and oversee the implementation of global medical scientific strategic plans, generating insights and delivering solutions to close gaps in healthcare. You will work in a thriving team of medical business leaders, inspired to drive towards achieving our goals of getting Ahead of Disease Together.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and execute practice-changing global medical affairs plans and integrated evidence plans in partnership with key stakeholders.
  • Think globally while deeply understanding local operating company needs and success measures, achieved through extensive partnership and collaboration with LOC teams.
  • Drive alignment across the internal ecosystem and with external partners to deliver medical plans that prioritize external impact above all else, on time and on budget.
  • Leverage insights and learnings to design and oversee execution of GMA-sponsored clinical trials, and input into externally sponsored and clinical development research to optimize positive impact for patients.
  • Drive excellence in scientific engagement by developing and implementing a strategy for a strong collaborative network of global external experts (HCPs, patients, payors, and regulators) engaged in advice-seeking activities and initiatives advancing clinical care and patient outcomes.
  • Ensure team members and colleagues have a robust knowledge of relevant and emerging clinical evidence, overseeing creation and delivery of high-quality scientific materials for both internal and external use, as well as implementing a global training and competency framework.
  • Ensure appropriate medical governance oversight, including management of product-related issues with potential impact on patient safety and risk assessment and mitigation plans associated with deliverables/strategies.
  • Develop deep subject matter expertise on the product and therapy area, as well as driving proactive strategic planning.

Requirements:

  • MD/MBBS/PharmD or PhD in a clinical/scientific discipline related to oncology.
  • Considerable experience in Medical Affairs, including strategic roles in LOCs and global teams supporting pre/peri launch phases of assets.
  • Experience prioritizing and managing multiple projects, budgets, and interactions simultaneously.

Estimated Salary: $283,900 - $384,100 per annum, depending on location, skills, experience, and education level. In addition to the base salary, this position offers an annual bonus and eligibility to participate in our share-based long-term incentive program.
