Job Overview

A Wilderness Way is seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Senior Residential Support Worker to join our team. As a Senior Residential Support Worker, you will be responsible for providing high-quality care and support to children in our residential settings.

Main Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage a team of support workers to ensure the delivery of high-quality care and support to children.
  • Develop and implement individual care plans to meet the unique needs of each child.
  • Collaborate with other professionals, including education and therapy teams, to ensure a holistic approach to care.
  • Provide emotional support and guidance to children, promoting their physical, emotional, and psychological well-being.
  • Manage challenging behavior and develop strategies to promote positive behavior.
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of policies and procedures to ensure the safety and well-being of children.

Requirements

  • Level 3 Diploma in Children and Young People's Workforce or equivalent.
  • Experience working in residential children's services or a similar setting.
  • Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to manage challenging behavior and develop strategies to promote positive behavior.
