Job Overview

Johnson Controls is seeking a skilled HVAC Service Technician to join our UK&I Service team. As a primary contact for providing top-quality service and maintenance to HVAC systems, you will work within set timeframes and according to defined processes, service agreements, and customer needs.

This is an exciting opportunity to work with a leading provider of equipment, controls, and services for heating, ventilating, air-conditioning, refrigeration, and security systems.

About the Role

The successful candidate will be responsible for service, maintenance, and repair work on various Chiller, AC, and other HVAC equipment installed at our clients' facilities. This role involves working primarily in a static position based in Slough but may require travel to support the mobile team when workload demands.

You will be the primary point of contact for all technical service issues, responsible for troubleshooting and resolving complex systems within set timeframes and according to defined processes, service agreements, and customer needs.

Key Responsibilities
  • Service, maintenance, and repair work on Chiller, AC, and other HVAC equipment
  • Troubleshooting and resolving complex systems
  • Commissioning, servicing, repair, and installation works
  • Providing technical expertise and mentoring to less experienced service team members
  • Coordinating on-site work activity
Requirements
  • Proven experience as a Chiller/AC/HVAC Service Engineer (minimum 2 years)
  • NVQ level 2 in HVAC or relevant technical qualification
  • F-Gas Certificate
  • Strong knowledge of Chiller systems, controls, and components (DX, Split & VRV systems, AHUs & ventilation plant)
  • Experience with major manufacturers (York, Trane, Carrier, Airedale, Hitachi, and Mitsubishi)
  • Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Exceptional customer service and communication skills
  • Strong admin skills using IT devices for work completion and technical reports
