Job Description

**Job Title:** Project Controls Engineer - Transport and Utilities

**Job Summary:** We are seeking a highly skilled Project Controls Engineer to join our expanding Transport and Utilities business. As a Project Controls Engineer, you will be responsible for leading a cross-discipline team on low-complexity, low-risk projects and working with project management to communicate and contextualize project performance and influence stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Project Controls Management: Define the scope through the identification and management of exclusions, assumptions, interfaces, and dependencies, and coordinate the scope's decomposition.
  • Performance Measurement Baseline: Work with the Integrated Project Team to establish a robust, accurate Performance Measurement Baseline and manage the change control process.
  • Supplier Project Controls: Work with Project and Commercial Management to establish the Supplier Project Controls contract requirements, and then collaborate with suppliers to integrate and analyze their performance data.
  • Schedule Recovery Planning: Build successful working relationships to perform schedule recovery planning using schedule optimization and critical path analysis.
  • Scope, Cost, Risk, and Schedule Integration: Ensure scope, cost, risk, and schedule integration and alignment, and analyze performance data to provide delivery insight and facilitate delivery decisions.
  • Risk Management: Work with Risk Management to ensure that risks are appropriately identified and managed.
  • Project Governance: Establish effective project governance.
  • Quality Assurance: Assure the quality, accuracy, and integrity of the Project Controls team's output.
  • Continuous Improvement: Identify learning opportunities to ensure continuous improvement and skills development.

Requirements:

  • Professional Project Controls Experience: Having professional Project Controls experience in one or more sectors and in the application of at least one Project Controls discipline of Planning and Scheduling, Cost Estimation, Cost Management, Risk Management, or Reporting and their associated software/tools is essential.
  • Integrated Project Team Experience: Experience of working in an Integrated Project Team is essential.
  • Transportation and Utilities Experience: Experience of working in the transportation and utilities sectors is desirable.
  • Project Controls Software Experience: Experience in using Project Controls software is desirable.
  • Travel Requirements: The ability to travel to client sites across the Southwest as required is essential.
