About the Role

South West Water is seeking a highly skilled Leakage Operational Performance Manager to join our team. As a key member of our operational team, you will play a critical role in supporting the delivery of our ambitious target of achieving zero leakage by 2050.

The successful candidate will work closely with our data scientists, analysts, and engineers to provide analytical insights to operational leakage delivery teams in the South West, Bournemouth, and Isles of Scilly. Your primary responsibility will be to report operational leakage performance to senior managers, regulatory submissions, and help improve the accuracy of leakage reporting.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and maintain data tools to improve the efficacy of processes within active leakage control.
  • Formulate tactical and strategic plans for leakage reduction using data insights across operational activities.
  • Improve the quality of data captured across leakage activities.
  • Support operational colleagues in the use of reporting and decision-making tools, such as leakSure and Waternet.
  • Collaborate with field-based teams to identify opportunities for pressure management, network/DMA design, trunk main leakage reduction, and acoustic/flow logging.
Requirements
  • Computer science, mathematics, geographic, or data science and analytics background.
  • Experience in the water industry or similar industry and familiarity with regulatory frameworks.
  • Excellent report writing skills with a strategic, business-focused approach.
  • Experience presenting data and insights to a varied audience.
