We are seeking a dynamic and visionary leader to drive our product strategy and development efforts. This is a permanent position based in our Exeter office, with a 40-hour workweek, Monday to Friday.

The Role

We are looking for a highly skilled and experienced product leader to develop and communicate a compelling product vision and strategy aligned with ELMS Aviation's overall mission and goals. The successful candidate will identify market opportunities and define product roadmaps to address customer needs and business growth.

The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of leading product strategy, development, and launch of innovative products. They will have a strong understanding of aviation industry regulations, trends, and customer needs. Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills are essential for this role.

The successful candidate will be responsible for:

  1. Developing and communicating a compelling product vision and strategy aligned with ELMS Aviation's overall mission and goals
  2. Identifying market opportunities and defining product roadmaps to address customer needs and business growth
  3. Overseeing the entire product lifecycle from ideation to launch, ensuring timely and high-quality delivery of products
  4. Collaborating with cross-functional teams, including engineering, design, marketing, and sales, to deliver innovative and user-centric solutions
  5. Prioritising product features and enhancements based on customer feedback, market research, and business objectives
  6. Conducting market research and competitive analysis to stay ahead of industry trends and identify new opportunities
  7. Gathering and analysing customer feedback to continuously improve products and ensure they meet customer expectations
  8. Fostering strong relationships with all customers and partners to understand their needs and drive customer-centric product development
  9. Leading our Customer Success programme to ensure maximum customer satisfaction and penetration
  10. Leading and mentoring a high-performing product team, fostering a culture of innovation, collaboration, and continuous improvement
  11. Setting clear goals and performance metrics for the product team and ensuring alignment with company objectives
  12. Promoting a data-driven approach to decision-making and product development
  13. Staying abreast of emerging technologies and industry trends to drive innovation and maintain a competitive edge
  14. Evaluating and implementing new technologies and tools to enhance product development processes and capabilities
  15. Developing and managing product budgets, ensuring efficient allocation of resources and adherence to financial targets
  16. Collaborating with the executive team to define and achieve business goals and revenue targets
  17. Supporting the business' compliance requirements to maintain and develop processes in support of our certification and regulatory requirements
Requirements

The successful candidate will have:

  1. Bachelor's degree in business, engineering, computer science, or a related field; MBA or advanced degree preferred
  2. Proven experience (5+ years) in product management, preferably within the aviation industry or a related field
  3. Demonstrated success in leading product strategy, development, and launch of innovative products
  4. Strong understanding of aviation industry regulations, trends, and customer needs
  5. Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills
  6. Ability to think strategically and execute methodically
  7. Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
  8. Experience with Agile methodologies and product management tools
  9. Passion for technology and innovation, with a customer-centric mindset
  10. Experience of implementing and/or working within an ISO27001 ISMS
