Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Nursery Cook to join our team at Barnardo's Wetherell Nursery. As a key member of our kitchen team, you will be responsible for preparing and cooking nutritious meals and snacks for our children.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare and cook meals and snacks for approximately 100 children aged 3 months to 5 years.
  • Work closely with colleagues to ensure a high standard of meal preparation and presentation.
  • Order and collect food from central stores as required.
  • Prepare and cook food to be preserved as needed.
  • Present prepared food in a visually appealing manner.
  • Maintain high standards of health, safety, and hygiene in the kitchen.

Requirements:

  • Experience in a similar role or relevant training.
  • Ability to work flexibly and respond to changing needs.
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills.
