Job Title: Behaviour Support - Aspiring Criminal Justice - Bracknell

Academics Ltd is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Behaviour Support Specialist to join our team at a specialist SEMH school in Bracknell. As an Aspiring Criminal Justice Officer, you will play a vital role in supporting students with complex social needs, aged 11-16, from diverse backgrounds.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Work 1:1 and in small groups with students who have experienced significant traumas, focusing on restorative practices.
  • Develop and implement individualized plans to support students' social, emotional, learning, behavioral, and personal development.
  • Collaborate with teachers, therapists, and other professionals to ensure a comprehensive approach to student support.
  • Engage with parents, guardians, and the community to promote student well-being and progress.
  • Contribute to a positive and inclusive school culture, promoting social, emotional, and mental health awareness.

Requirements:

  • Relevant qualifications and experience in Behaviour Support, Mental Health, or a related field.
  • Strong understanding of restorative practices and their application in a school setting.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with students, staff, and parents.
  • Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team, with a flexible and adaptable approach.
  • Passion for supporting students with complex social needs and a commitment to their well-being and success.
