About the Role

Berkshire Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Cognitive Behaviour Therapist and Supervisor to join our CAMHS Mental Health Support Team. As a key member of our team, you will play a vital role in providing assessments and short-term, evidence-based therapeutic interventions to young people with mild to moderate mental health needs.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct clinical assessments for young people up to the age of 18 years, presenting with mild to moderate mental health problems.
  • Provide evidence-based therapeutic interventions, including individual, group, and family therapy.
  • Offer training, consultation, and supervision to external agencies regarding the mental health presentation of children and young people accessing the MHST.
  • Actively promote the whole-school approach to developing and maintaining emotional health and well-being within schools.
  • Provide leadership to the MHST and deputise leadership as required.
  • Liaise and work jointly with the Getting Help/MHST and locality Early Help Hub and specialist CAMHS services.
  • Use routine outcome measures to promote active participation from young people and evaluate the effectiveness of interventions.
  • Provide training to professionals and supervision as appropriate to the role.
