Job Title: Senior Requirements Engineer

We are seeking an experienced Senior Requirements Engineer to join our team at AWE Plc. As a key member of our Warhead Systems Engineering Group, you will be responsible for providing systems engineering support to projects, programmes, and portfolios across our enterprise.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Leading on stakeholder engagement activities to collaborate with the business, customers, government agencies, and regulators
  • Developing and using tools and techniques to conduct impact analysis and assessments
  • Supporting Subject Matter Experts to help define the solution space
  • Capturing and translating stakeholder vision into requirement sets
  • Developing Concept of Operations and system architectures
  • Generating and managing Validation & Verification needs and evidence
  • Producing high-quality technical reports, presentations, and project artefacts

Requirements:

  • Experience in requirements elicitation at product, project, or capability levels
  • Stakeholder collaboration and inclusion
  • Proactive, self-starter, and organized
  • Inquisitive, not afraid to ask questions or challenge
  • Data analysis and technical report writing
  • Degree in a STEM discipline, equivalent NQF level 6 qualification, or equivalent experience

Desirable Experience:

  • Elicitation and development of requirements for complex projects or systems
  • Derivation and allocation of requirements to system elements
  • Development, tailoring, and documenting of requirements management processes and procedures
  • Implementation of requirements management in combination with Model Based Systems Engineering frameworks, approaches, and tools
  • Mentoring and coaching of less experienced colleagues
  • Use of formal requirements management tools
