Senior Requirements Engineer

Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced Senior Requirements Engineer to join our team at AWE Plc. As a key member of our Warhead Systems Engineering Group, you will be responsible for providing systems engineering support to projects, programmes, and portfolios across our enterprise.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Apply systems thinking in a technical role to support complex engineering projects
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to elicit and develop requirements for systems and projects
  • Develop and maintain requirements management processes and procedures
  • Support the development of Concept of Operations and system architectures
  • Generate and manage Validation & Verification needs and evidence
  • Produce high-quality technical reports, presentations, and project artefacts
Requirements:
  • Experience in requirements elicitation at product, project, or capability levels
  • Strong stakeholder collaboration and inclusion skills
  • Ability to work proactively and be a self-starter
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Degree in a STEM discipline or equivalent experience
Desirable Experience:
  • Elicitation and development of requirements for complex projects or systems
  • Derivation and allocation of requirements to system elements
  • Implementation of requirements management in combination with Model Based Systems Engineering frameworks, approaches, and tools
  • Mentoring and coaching of less experienced colleagues
