An exciting opportunity has arisen to join the Hotel Services team at University Hospitals Plymouth NHS Trust as a Portering Assistant. We are seeking enthusiastic and motivated individuals who can work as part of a busy team, providing excellent customer service and supporting the smooth operation of our hospital services.
Main Responsibilities- Transport patients by bed or chair between wards and departments using various methods of transportation.
- Transport the deceased to the mortuary.
- Respond to emergency situations and requests for medical gas, specimen collection, and transportation to the Labs.
- Deliver patient meal trolleys to wards and other food provisions.
- Support the Helpdesk and provide cover for absence.
- Clean equipment used in the provision of the service.

Person SpecificationEssential
- Previous demonstrable experience of dealing face-to-face with the general public.
- Previous demonstrable experience of working in a fast-paced, customer-focused environment.
