About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced professional to join our team as an Independent Chair for our conference and reviewing service. This is a 12-month fixed contract opportunity that will allow you to develop your career in social work and make a meaningful impact on the lives of children and young people.

About the Position

The successful candidate will have a proven track record of chairing complex multi-agency meetings and a deep understanding of current children's legislation and practice. They will be responsible for participating in quality assurance and practice improvement activities, driving up standards of social work and the impact of other agencies involved in child protection work.

Key Responsibilities

  • Chairing complex multi-agency meetings to ensure effective decision-making and collaboration
  • Developing and implementing quality assurance frameworks and systems to monitor and review the effectiveness of services
  • Providing expert guidance and support to social workers and other professionals involved in child protection work
  • Collaborating with stakeholders to identify areas for improvement and develop strategies for enhancing service delivery
  • Staying up-to-date with relevant legislation, policy, and best practice in children's social care
