About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Body Worn Video Service Technician to join our team at the Civil Nuclear Constabulary. As a key member of our team, you will play a critical role in ensuring the smooth operation of our Body Worn Video (BWV) fleet, providing technical support and maintenance to our officers and ensuring that our digital evidence management solution is running efficiently.

Key Responsibilities
  • Ensure the BWV camera fleet is available and fit for purpose, including responding to fault requests and swapping devices out for repair and maintenance.
  • Liaise with a network of BWV Single Points of Contact at all CNC operational sites.
  • Provide operational and technical advice and assistance to officers in the use of BWV and the associated software.
  • Assist in the monitoring of files being retained to ensure compliance with policy.
  • Accurately update the CNC's BWV asset management system including BWV assets and accessories across multiple locations.
  • Assist in the preparation of material to aid the delivery of BWV training.
  • Analyse BWV data to be able to provide up-to-date information on the effectiveness of BWV.
  • Act as the liaison between all business areas and the BWV solution, and work with those departments to produce or adapt working practice and policy documents.
  • Review, update and maintain both the internal and public-facing BWV web pages and update when required to ensure it accurately reflects the force position on BWV.
Requirements
  • Good understanding of Body Worn Video and its capabilities.
  • Self-motivated, proactive, committed to continuous improvement.
  • Able to establish and improve Service Management processes and procedures.
  • Strong ability to communicate at all levels.
  • Advanced interpersonal skills and well-developed ability to influence others to further the objectives of the organisation.
  • Manages multiple tasks effectively by thinking things through in advance, prioritising and managing time well.
  • Excellent communications skills, with the ability to tailor communications to the appropriate audience.
  • Good understanding of Microsoft Office applications including MS Word, MS Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • Required to work with discretion, confidentiality, and personal integrity.
