Job Summary

University Hospital Southampton NHS Foundation Trust is seeking a highly motivated Clinical Research Practitioner to join our Ophthalmology Research delivery team.

Main Duties

The successful candidate will lead in all aspects of Ophthalmic Imaging and provide specialist research and clinical care to research participants. This includes identifying and approaching eligible patients, consenting patients, and supporting the delivery of study interventions and clinical investigations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage and coordinate delegated research studies
  • Work closely with the clinical MDT to lead the way to improved care and treatments
  • Develop skills and competencies required for accreditation as a Clinical Research Practitioner

Requirements
  • Significant patient-facing experience caring for a range of patients
  • Foundation degree level or NVQ Level 6 in a Physiological or Physical Sciences, Healthcare Science or related field
  • Extensive experience as a Research Imaging Technician
