Electrical Wire Person Job Description

Cooper Lomaz Recruitment is seeking an experienced Electrical Wire Person to join our team. As an Electrical Wire Person, you will be responsible for assisting the Electrical Chargehand in the electrical assembly of control boxes and machinery.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Reading mechanical layout drawings and electrical wiring diagrams
  • Using factory tools, including disc cutters, pillar drills, DIN cutters, and studguns
  • Laying out and assembling back-plates to drawings
  • Drilling enclosures, gland plates, and other components
  • Installing SY, CY, and YY cable on machinery
  • Assembling multipin plug socket assemblies and manufacturing flying leads
  • Providing electrical assembly support and advice to in-house manufacture and project engineers
  • Conducting quality control and improvement activities
Requirements:
  • Previous experience in an electrical role is required
  • Electrical qualifications and knowledge of the 18th Edition would be an advantage
  • Attention to detail and ability to work accurately
