Young Persons Support Worker

Are you passionate about supporting and educating young people to navigate the challenges they face today?
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Young Persons Worker to join our team in Lancashire. As a key member of our multi-agency contextual safeguarding team, you will work closely with young people, their families, and other professionals to provide vital support, training, and education.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide expert advice and guidance to young people, their families, and other professionals
- Develop and implement effective support plans to meet the needs of young people
- Work collaboratively with other agencies and professionals to safeguard young people
- Lead on Contextual Safeguarding within the Lancashire Young Persons team
Requirements:
- Excellent relationship building skills with a range of people from diverse backgrounds
- Ability to work effectively independently and as part of a team
- Good organisational skills to manage time effectively and prioritise work
- Excellent written and oral communication skills
- Effective IT skills to use different packages and digital media
Desirable Skills:
- Qualification in substance misuse, mental health, psychology, nursing, or youth work
- Experience of working within Children's Social Care
- Knowledge of parenting skills and issues
