Job Title: Young Persons Worker

Are you passionate about supporting and educating young people to navigate the challenges they face today?

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Young Persons Worker to join our team in Lancashire. As a key member of our multi-agency contextual safeguarding team, you will work closely with young people, their families, and other professionals to provide vital support, training, and education.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide expert advice and guidance to young people, their families, and other professionals
  • Develop and implement effective support plans to meet the needs of young people
  • Work collaboratively with other agencies and professionals to safeguard young people
  • Lead on Contextual Safeguarding within the Lancashire Young Persons team

Requirements:

  • Excellent relationship building skills with a range of people from diverse backgrounds
  • Ability to work effectively independently and as part of a team
  • Good organisational skills to manage time effectively and prioritise work
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
  • Effective IT skills to use different packages and digital media

Desirable Skills:

  • Qualification in substance misuse, mental health, psychology, nursing, or youth work
  • Experience of working within Children's Social Care
  • Knowledge of parenting skills and issues
