Job Overview:

The Durham County Council is seeking a skilled Higher Level Teaching Assistant to provide academic support to pupils who are medically too unwell to attend school.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide academic support to students who are medically too unwell to attend school
  • Work collaboratively with teachers and other staff members to develop and implement individualized learning plans
  • Assist students with assignments and projects as needed
  • Monitor student progress and provide feedback to teachers
  • Support the implementation of inclusive practices in the classroom

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Education or related field
  • Proven experience working with students with diverse needs
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Passion for teaching and learning

Salary Information:

The estimated salary for this position is £25,500 - £32,400 per annum, depending on experience.
