About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Consultant Psychiatrist to join our team as a Clinical Leader in old age psychiatry. This is an exciting opportunity for an exceptional professional to lead and develop our services, working closely with colleagues to deliver high-quality patient care.

The successful candidate will be responsible for managing and supervising junior medical staff, ensuring that they operate within the parameters of the New Deal and are Working Time Directive compliant. They will also participate in service and business planning activity for the locality and attend academic programs to enhance their skills and knowledge.

This role offers a unique chance to work in a dynamic environment, contributing to the development of innovative patient care pathways and collaborating with other professionals to improve outcomes. Key Responsibilities
  • Manage and appraise junior medical staff

Requirements
  • MB BS or equivalent medical qualification
  • MRCPsych OR MRCPsych equivalent approved by the Royal College of Psychiatrists
  • Fully registered with the GMC with a licence to practise at the time of appointment
  • CCT in Psychiatry OR Inclusion on the GMC Specialist Register in psychiatry OR within six months of achieving CCT/CESR at the time of interview
