Job Summary

Aberdeenshire Council is seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Pupil Support Assistant to join our team in a cluster role. As a key member of our support staff, you will play a vital part in promoting achievement and raising standards of pupil attainment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist teachers in promoting achievement and raising standards of pupil attainment
  • Provide general support in relation to the needs of the class and individuals' care, health, and wellbeing and safety
  • Ensure a secure and safe environment for all pupils
  • Work with a range of pupils from P1 – S6
  • Demonstrate a commitment to quality service delivery through continuous improvement

Requirements

  • Ability to work flexibly in school locations within the cluster
  • Commitment to promoting achievement and raising standards of pupil attainment
  • Ability to work with a range of pupils from P1 – S6
  • Commitment to quality service delivery through continuous improvement
  • Ability to undergo a PVG Scheme update check

Regulated Work with Children and/or Protected Adults

This post is regulated work with Children and/or Protected Adults under the Protection of Vulnerable Groups (Scotland) Act. The preferred candidate will be required to join the PVG Scheme or undergo a PVG Scheme update check.
