Job Summary

The Department of Health and Social Care is seeking a highly skilled Strategy, Insight and Evaluation Lead to join our Behavioural Programmes Unit (BPU). As a key member of our team, you will play a crucial role in developing and implementing strategies that drive behaviour change and improve health outcomes.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and disseminate robust marketing strategies for key programmes, audiences, and behaviours.
  • Utilize insight, behavioural science, data, modelling, theories of change, and Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) to inform decision-making.
  • Work closely with the Head of Strategy, Insight, Evaluation and Data to develop the annual business plan and secure future budget for activity.
  • Provide strategic advice to internal stakeholders on public behaviours and attitudes related to health issues.
  • Develop and promote a deep understanding of the audience(s) and behaviours associated with each focus of activity.
  • Collaborate with research and evaluation agencies to ensure each programme is fully and rigorously evaluated.
Requirements
  • Background in strategy/planning with experience in planning and evaluating behaviour change programmes or campaigns.
  • Extensive experience in using data and research techniques to generate and embed insight in programmes.
  • Experience in negotiation and influencing skills across various sectors/stakeholders.
  • Ability to work with complex data and distill it into actionable recommendations.
