Healthcare Communications Assistant

Weber Shandwick, a leading global communications network, is seeking ambitious professionals to fill the role of Junior Associate in our London office.
About the RoleThis exciting opportunity involves supporting account teams with the implementation of tactical programmes and their components. The ideal candidate will have experience working with medical/healthcare integrated comms accounts and possess excellent organisational skills.
Key Responsibilities- Supports the timely, effective, and efficient delivery of organisational and administrative elements of account work, including status reports, action lists, call notes, and more.
- Develops solid first drafts of documents for account work, such as summaries of logistical arrangements, results of media audits, and media materials.
- Liaises with supervisors and third parties to deliver projects on brief, demonstrating a good understanding of project requirements and deadlines.
- Takes responsibility for foundational financial elements of client accounts, including vendor quotes, invoices, PO generation, cost tracking, and reconciliation.
- Ideal candidates will have experience working in medical/healthcare communications, with a strong attention to detail and ability to complete tasks efficiently.
- Demonstrates a good understanding of the Association of the British Pharmaceutical Industry (ABPI) regulatory framework, the NHS, and major European health systems.
- Knowledge of key healthcare media outlets and types of healthcare stories they report on is also desired.

The estimated salary for this role is £35,000 - £45,000 per annum, based on industry standards and location.
