FM Conway is seeking a skilled Asphalt Plant Operator to join our team at our Newhaven Asphalt Plant. This is a permanent position that requires working a mix of day and night shifts.

As an Asphalt Plant Operator, you will be responsible for operating the plant and associated equipment to produce materials for our customers' needs.

Working within the Asphalt & Aggregate division, you will plan and communicate effectively to ensure all customer requirements are met.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Operate machinery in a safe and efficient manner that complies with FMC procedures
  • Loading of material onto vehicles
  • Undertaking all loading shovel operations as required
  • Operating all weighbridge functions as required
  • Following site Health & Safety procedures
  • Contributing to overall well-being and profitability of the site and the business

Requirements:

To be considered for this role, you must be a team player with good communication skills and a full UK driving license. You will also need to be flexible, computer literate, and health and safety conscious. Previous experience in a similar role is desirable.
