As Operations Manager - Team Lead, you will play a key role in ensuring the smooth operation of our centres, delivering exceptional customer service and contributing to the success of our team.

As a true leader, you will be responsible for supervising staff, leading by example and motivating your team to deliver high standards of service and results.

Key Responsibilities

  • Supervise and lead a team of staff to deliver high-quality service and results
  • Ensure the smooth operation of the leisure centre, including managing budgets, resources and staff performance
  • Provide excellent customer service, responding to customer feedback and concerns
  • Collaborate with other teams to deliver projects and initiatives that benefit the community

Person Specification

Disposition (Essential)

  • Customer-focused and passionate about delivering exceptional service
  • Driven and enthusiastic, with a can-do attitude
  • Pro-active and able to work independently
  • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to adapt to different situations

Experience (Essential)

  • Staff supervision and leadership experience, with a proven track record of delivering high standards

Experience (Desirable)

  • Previous experience of working in a customer-focused service delivery environment
  • Cash handling and reconciliation experience, with knowledge of financial systems

Qualifications (Essential)

  • National Pool Lifeguard Qualification (NPLQ)

Qualifications (Desirable)

  • Current First Aid Certificate
  • Pool Plant Operators Qualification
  • Coaching qualification in one or more sports

Skills (Essential)

  • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to adapt to different situations
  • Good organisational skills and ability to prioritise tasks
  • Excellent time management and ability to work under pressure

Skills (Desirable)

  • Experience of recruiting, training and developing staff
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Office applications
