Job Title: ASD Learning Support Assistant

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate ASD Learning Support Assistant to join our team at Protocol Education. As a key member of our team, you will work closely with students who have Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) to provide individualized support and guidance throughout their school day.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide one-to-one support to students with ASD, helping them to develop their communication, speech, and learning skills.
  • Work collaboratively with teachers and other support staff to develop and implement individualized education plans.
  • Help students to build social skills and confidence through engaging activities and creative play.
  • Support students with challenging behaviors, using positive behavior management techniques to promote positive choices.

Requirements:

  • Experience working with children who have ASD and a strong understanding of their needs.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with students, teachers, and other support staff.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a flexible and adaptable approach to meeting the needs of students.
  • Strong behavior management skills, with the ability to de-escalate challenging situations and promote positive behavior.
