Support Specialist for Children with Autism Spectrum Disorder

We are seeking a dedicated Support Specialist to work with children who have Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) in a fantastic school in Newcastle and North Tyneside.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide individualized support to students with ASD, helping them navigate their school day.
  • Enhance communication skills through patient and supportive guidance.
  • Mentor students in making positive choices for learning and behavior.
  • Engage students in creative activities that promote social skills and confidence.

Requirements:

  • Compassion and patience when working with children.
  • Recent experience working with children who have ASD.
  • Strong behavior management skills to guide students in making the right choices.
  • A proactive attitude in creating engaging activities that promote student growth.
