Job Description: Public Safety Coordinator
Estimated Salary: £91,000 per year
South Lanarkshire Council is committed to providing support to members of the armed forces, veterans, and their families through the Armed Forces Community Covenant.
We are seeking a Public Safety Coordinator to join our Housing & Technical Resources department. In this role, you will act as the primary liaison for various stakeholders, including Police Scotland's local Area Control Room and other Council departments.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Managing the effective monitoring of CCTV systems to detect and prevent crime and anti-social behaviour.
- Oversight of the security, operation, and control of CCTV equipment within the Control Centre.
- Maintenance of all records in accordance with Operational Procedures.
You must have strong organisational and prioritisation skills, as well as experience in managing staff. You will also need to be adaptable to changing priorities to ensure the delivery of a high-quality service.
Please note that this role involves working a tailored shift roster, including Core Hours of 8pm - 7am (Mon-Fri) & All Day Sat & Sun, and Non-Core Hours of 7am - 8pm (Mon-Fri).
