About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and engaging People team member to lead the continuation of our Early Careers Strategy. This includes our apprenticeship and graduate strategies. As the lead for this initiative, you will be responsible for the recruitment, coordination, and development of our Apprenticeship Program at all levels within TransPennine Express.

Key Responsibilities
  • Regular review of existing early careers processes within TPE, growing our early careers portfolio, and working alongside external agencies such as Greater Manchester Combined Authority, Network Rail, and other industry partners.
  • Management of our apprentices from recruitment to end-point assessment.
  • Involvement in industry opportunities and seeking them out.
  • Identify internal opportunities to utilize apprenticeships to upskill and reskill colleagues.
  • Be responsible for the control and management of the Apprenticeship Levy fund and DAS system, ensuring compliance with ESFA regulations and internal financial and audit requirements.
  • Work with the training provider and Ofsted to ensure that our apprenticeships meet the needs of national standards, including safeguarding requirements.
