Job Overview:

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Support Coordinator to join our team at UKCIL Ltd. This role involves providing personalized support to two young girls, Poppy-Mae and Emily, with complex needs in Leeds.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Accompany Poppy-Mae and Emily on community outings, promoting their independence and engagement.
  • Collaborate with their mothers to design and implement activity plans, enhancing their experiences and skill development.
  • Assist with daily living tasks, including money management, time management, cooking, and baking skills, empowering the girls to lead fulfilling lives.

Requirements:

  • A valid driver's license is preferred, facilitating transportation for activities and outings.
  • A non-smoker is preferred, ensuring a healthy environment for the girls.

Working Hours: 4 hours per week, with additional flexibility during school holidays to accommodate the family's needs.

Important Considerations:

  • Poppy-Mae has a gastrostomy and epilepsy, requiring basic knowledge of signs and symptoms from the Support Coordinator.
  • Emily undergoes dialysis three times a week and has a permcath, necessitating awareness of infection signs and prompt action if necessary.
  • The girls prefer quiet and calm environments, which may become overwhelming in loud or busy situations.

  • Caring and patient qualities, essential for supporting the girls' unique needs.

  • The family is open to flexible scheduling, particularly during school holidays, to ensure seamless support.

Estimated Salary: £25,000 - £30,000 per annum, based on the location and responsibilities involved.
