Job Description

This role will be based in our Basingstoke depot, supporting Region South.

Key Responsibilities:
  • To prepare forklifts to the standard required for STR rental and USED sales, with all that this entails, and order the necessary spare parts as efficiently as possible.
  • To adhere to all company Health, Safety, and Environmental policies, procedures, and practices, and ensure we operate in an environmentally safe work place.
  • To ensure K1SS and all paperwork/IT systems are completed accurately and within the stipulated time period, and with the relevant order numbers.
  • To liaise with the first line of management for authorisation of parts and process order numbers accordingly.
  • To work under own initiative without constant supervision.
  • To ensure all allocated work is adhered to, and to notify Manager if in arrears.
  • To ensure that the specified Engineering Standards and Safe Working Practices, and all Company Policies and Procedures, are followed at all times.
  • To ensure that all stock levels/movement records are accurate and correct.
  • To ensure all company issued equipment is kept in a satisfactory condition, and report any failures.
  • To take on any reasonable additional duties as required by the Manager to ensure the smooth running of the department.
  • Any other duties which arise as a result of duties as above.

Requirements:
  • NVQ Level 3 or equivalent associated occupation.
  • Electrical, hydraulic, and/or mechanical competencies.
