Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly experienced Senior Safety Engineer to join our team as a Project Lead. As a key member of our Safety and Environment team, you will provide HSE regulatory compliance advice across various projects and potentially act as the Project Discipline Leader (PDL) on individual projects.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and Implement HSE Plans: Create and manage HSE plans, philosophies, and Terms of Reference (ToR) for safety workshops.
  • Attend and Participate in Safety Workshops: Engage in HAZID/ENVID, HAZOP, SIL workshops, and other safety-related activities.
  • Manage Safety Actions: Oversee and sign off on safety actions to ensure project compliance.
  • Liaise with Clients and Stakeholders: Collaborate with clients and external stakeholders to ensure project safety and deliverables.
  • Project Discipline Leadership (PDL): Lead UK projects, ensuring timely issuance of deliverables to support project schedules.

Requirements:

  • Extensive Experience: Proven experience in energy projects, particularly in oil and gas design.
  • Strong Communication Skills: Ability to work independently and in teams to produce high-quality deliverables on time.
  • Technical Expertise: Skilled in developing HSE plans and philosophies, with experience in SIMOPS, ALARP demonstration, and safety cases.
  • Project Management: Proficient in working on CDM and decommissioning projects, with experience in CCS projects and attending safety workshops.
  • Collaboration and Teamwork: A collaborative team player eager to develop new skills and share knowledge.
  • Education: A relevant degree or equivalent experience in a related field.
