About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Assistant Quantity Surveyor to join our Commercial team at Kier Group. As a key member of our team, you will play a crucial role in supporting the delivery of enhanced highways maintenance works direct to local parishes within Somerset County.

Key Responsibilities
  • Collaborate with the Liaison Officer to provide estimates for delivery, ensuring accurate and timely submissions.
  • Review weekly cost and value reports to ensure full recovery for all works, identifying areas for improvement and implementing changes as needed.
  • Assist in the submission of estimates and agreements, ensuring compliance with company policies and procedures.
  • Onboard new supply chain partners, ensuring seamless integration and effective communication.
Requirements
  • Proven experience in quantity surveying, with a strong understanding of commercial principles and practices.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with a range of stakeholders, including colleagues, clients, and suppliers.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, with the ability to use software applications to support work-related activities.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, prioritizing tasks and managing multiple projects simultaneously.
