Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced Quantity Surveyor to join our regional commercial team at CV Library. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for leading the day-to-day commercial aspects of construction projects up to £5m.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare cost/value reconciliation reports accurately to ensure optimum commercial return is achieved for the project.
  • Prepare and agree interim valuations at the agreed dates to gain the best commercial advantage for the company.
  • Prepare, and in conjunction with senior management, agree final account with client's representative.
  • Agree final accounts with subcontractors to maximise project margins.
  • Ensure subcontract orders are prepared in accordance with company procedure.
  • Maintain control of subcontractor's accounts and minimise the cost of any variations.
  • Carry out duties as quantity surveyor on projects as instructed.
  • Prepare or assist with cost/value reconciliation reports on a monthly basis.
  • Prepare turnover cash flow forecasts as directed by line manager.

Requirements:

  • Solid experience with either a regional main contractor.
  • Minimum of 3 years' experience working as a QS or Estimator on projects.
  • Quantity Surveying or Building/Construction related qualification would be advantageous.
  • Good understanding and knowledge of the construction industry.
  • Ability to prepare contractor's quantities from specifications and drawings.
