Female Support Worker Specialist

We are seeking a highly motivated and caring Female Specialist Support Worker to join our team in Gosport, Hampshire. As a Support Worker, you will play a vital role in supporting our customers with learning disabilities and mental health needs, providing personalized care and support to enable them to live fulfilling lives.
As a Support Worker, you will be responsible for assisting with personal care and hygiene, medication administration, preparing and cooking meals, attending medical appointments, and supporting with social activities. You will also be required to keep accurate records and update care plans as needed.
We are looking for someone who is passionate about making a difference in the lives of our customers and is willing to learn and develop their skills. You will be part of a supportive team that values diversity and promotes equality.
Key Responsibilities- Assist with personal care and hygiene
- Administer medication (if required)
- Support with preparing and cooking meals
- Attend medical appointments with customers
- Support with social activities
- Keep accurate records and update care plans as needed
To be successful in this role, you will need to be able to support customers with evolving support needs and create personalized support plans using specialist knowledge and experience. You will also need to be able to deliver care and support in line with co-produced plans and establish meaningful relationships with our customers and their circle of support.
You will need to be able to work with customers who present behaviors of concern that require intensive support planning and risk management to ensure the safety of the customer and others. You will also need to be able to take the lead on monitoring and evaluating the health and behavior needs of our customers.
We are looking for someone who is able to work well as a team, is literate and numerate in English, and is willing to achieve the Adult Care Worker Level 3 or equivalent. A minimum of 1-year strong experience in Learning Disabilities, Autism & Mental Health Services is also required.
