Job Summary:
As a Senior Carer, you will be responsible for delivering high-standard residential care to residents, ensuring their personalized needs are met and company standards are upheld.
Main Responsibilities:
- Provide individualized care for all residential residents within the home.
- Oversee the quality of care, identify shortfalls, and address staff performance issues.
- Audit and review residential care standards, implementing changes as necessary.
- Develop and maintain personalized care plans, providing high-level personal care and attention.
- Ensure compliance with statutory and legal requirements, including Health & Safety and Care Standards Act.
- Supervise residential care delivery, identify training needs, and assist colleagues in maintaining high standards.
- Maintain excellent personal hygiene and infection control practices.
- Keep accurate residential records, liaising with residents, relatives, and staff as needed.
- Oversight effective stock control and ordering of medication and medical products.
- Maintain confidentiality of resident personal information at all times.
- Contribute to team meetings and resident review meetings, promoting good communication and supporting new team members.
- Accurately report annual leave, sickness, complaints, accidents, and Daily Census to the Manager.
Requirements:
- Degree in Social Care or related field (essential)
- Minimum 2 years' experience in residential care
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work autonomously and as part of a team
- Familiarity with care standards and regulations
