Job Title: Assistant Director of Training

We are seeking an experienced and skilled Assistant Director of Training to join our team at London Brewers Alliance. As a key member of our management team, you will play a pivotal role in supporting the smooth and efficient operation of our beer-focused bar in Borough Market.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Operational Duties:
    • Ensure compliance with all liquor laws and regulations, including responsible beverage service and age verification.
    • Implement company strategies to minimize costs and maximize profitability, such as negotiating supplier deals and reducing waste.
    • Monitor and manage inventory levels of beer, spirits, and other bar supplies to support the manager.
    • Supervise and coordinate the work of bar staff, including scheduling, training, and holiday allocation.
  • Customer Service:
    • Provide exceptional customer service by interacting with guests in a friendly and knowledgeable manner.
    • Address customer complaints and issues promptly and effectively.
    • Create a welcoming and enjoyable atmosphere for customers, contributing to the overall success of the bar.
  • Bar Management:
    • Oversee bar operations during shifts, ensuring that all tasks are completed efficiently and effectively.
    • Assist in conducting regular training sessions for bar staff to improve their skills and knowledge.
    • Lead at the manager's direction with the planning and execution of special events and promotions.
  • Additional Responsibilities:
    • Lead at the manager's direction with marketing initiatives to attract new customers and promote the bar's offerings.
    • Maintain a safe and hygienic working environment.
    • Ensure the security of the bar and its patrons.
